  • Thank you for your interest in a Wag Again dog!

    We have a major problem down here of overpopulation (you may have heard); Houston is euthanizing insane numbers of animals at shelters- yes, even puppies, pregnant mammas and very friendly dogs. Houston shelters euthanize every day just for space, due to overcrowding.

    We are pretty good at matching families with dogs and we are very open about everything, so it is a well-informed process. We place all of our dogs in a foster home here in Houston until we feel confident they are ready to be posted up for adoption. We go above and beyond, doing all we can to make sure all of our dogs are highly adoptable.

    Once we have received your application, we will arrange for your initial phone interview with our Adoption Coordinator, during which we will review your application and answer any questions you may have about the rescue and the adoption process. If things move forward we set up a FaceTime or Skype session for you to meet the dog live and speak to the foster family. You'll know everything about your dog that we know before travel -- the good and the bad so you can make sure it’s the right dog for you.

    The adoption fee, which covers all shots, deworming, microchip, spay/neuter (if age appropriate) and official health certificate is $250 plus transportation cost, which is approximately $200.
