Membership in the Upper Valley Chamber Orchestra allows a player to participate in any UVCO activity during the year, including rehearsals and concerts. UVCO membership is designed to be flexible, allowing members to play in some or all of the season concerts.
Membership fees contribute to the costs of a professional conductor, music, rehearsal and concert venues, partnerships, insurance, fundraising support, registration services, and more. Because membership fees do not cover these costs completely, UVCO relies on the generosity of individuals, foundations, and businesses to fund the remaining costs.
The 2019-20 concert year membership fee is $100. It is a core value of UVCO that membership fees not be a barrier to participation. UVCO has a no questions asked Tuition Assistance policy that means the membership fee may be reduced or waived with a simple request (no financial statements are required). Grade school and college students can waive tuition if needed.
If you are able, please consider making a tax-deductible gift in addition to your membership fee. The cost of each seat is approximately $250 per year. We rely on your generosity to be able to run the orchestra. Upper Valley Chamber Orchestra is a program of the Upper Valley Music Center, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization with the mission to provide and promote the best in music education in the Upper Valley region of Vermont and New Hampshire.
