  • About the Internship:

    This is an opportunity for students to experience a combination of academia and professional practice, learning the mechanics of strategic philanthropy while building skills related to applied research and nonprofit programming. We also resolve to provide informal mentorship for all interns while availing opportunities for growth and learning under Stanford PACS as a research center.

    • We are seeking help with the following projects:
      • The Philanthropy Toolkit: creating workshops and promotional efforts around this newly developed resource to encourage effective giving, especially through “intermediaries” such as financial advisors
      • Development of online learning management systems (LMS): digital tools to make our donor education methodology accessible more broadly
      • Philanthropy research: on donor behavior, and its institutional landscape: conducting literature reviews and qualitative research
    • To begin: As soon as possible
    • Commitment: 5 to 15 hours per week (online/remote)
    • Compensation: Paid hourly. Amount varies depending on graduate/undergraduate status.

    Candidate Criteria:

    • Currently enrolled (undergraduate or graduate student status) at Stanford
    • Strong reading, writing and analytical skills
    • Strong organizational or project/program management skills
    • The following interest areas are a plus: non-profit and philanthropic practice, data science, web development, UX design, education
