You are in the application form for ShoreUP Grants for sea-level rise preparedness. If you are looking for the Spark! Grant portal please visit https://form.jotform.com/212145514960148
ShoreUp grants offer funding support (up to $10,000) for Maine island and coastal communities as they assess, implement, and/or plan for sea-level rise. Sea-level rise preparedness projects might include (but are not limited to) risk assessments, infrastructure planning, and community engagement programs related to sea-level rise.
Before you get started, here is a bit more about the application and process:
Confidentiality: All information you provide to Island Institute is confidential, and will be not shared with outside parties unless consent is given to do so.
Time to complete: This application takes about 20 minutes to complete once you have all information handy. We will ask you to provide the following:
- Your contact information (so we can get in touch to learn more)
- Basic information on the project or business
- Capital need, how the money will be used, and any outside funding sources
- Executive summary and information about community need/partners
- Social, environmental, and financial impact of the project
- Challenges you are facing and how we can help (outside of funding)
Deadlines: There are no deadlines for ShoreUp grant submission as submissions are considered on a rolling basis until funding is tapped out.
After the application is submitted: A member of our team will contact you within one week to learn more about your project.
Don’t worry: Sometimes there is additional information we need to evaluate your application, that's OK! Once your application has been received, we will review and reach out with any questions or requests for additional supporting documents. The most important thing is starting the conversation so we can better understand how to help!
