NOTES ON THE SELECTION PROCESS
Please read this entire section before submitting your application.
When you have submitted the completed application, SWD will review the provided information and make a determination as to whether your organization qualifies for the Reach program. Reviews take place on a regular basis, and all eligible submissions are kept on file and periodically reconsidered for at least one year after they are received. Applications from organizations deemed ineligible will not be retained.
If selected for participation in the program, your organization will receive an offer for a 4-hour in-person workshop session. Workshop format and delivery details are determined at the full discretion of SWD, based on submitted applications, availability of data storytellers, and other internal SWD priorities and considerations.
While we try to remain flexible in our scheduling, our availability is often quite limited. Organizations invited to participate in the Reach program will be offered specific date and time windows during which the session may be scheduled and are expected to confirm a date and time within those windows as soon as possible (workshop to take place by September 30, 2026). If the suggested windows are not viable or a commitment to scheduling the session is not forthcoming, SWD reserves the right to postpone the workshop indefinitely.
