The Holiday Market will be a vibrant and diverse indoor artists market located in downtown Northville for the holiday season. We are looking to offer unique, handmade items by 15 artists over two days, December 6 and 7. Work is juried to ensure quality, variety and originality.

Meet-the-Artists Reception: Friday, December 6, 5:30 - 8:30 pm
This is an opportunity to invite your friends and family to a fun, free event! Appetizers and beverages will be provided for guests.
Eligibility: Artists 18 or older may submit 6 works with a brief booth and artwork description to be considered for inclusion. All artwork must be original in concept, design, exection and of the artists' own creation. Work should be in excellent condition, and all for sale.
Entry Deadline: All entries MUST be submitted by Sunday, October 20, 11:59 PM EST.
Entry Procedures: Artists submit images of 6 works of art or merchandise.
Artwork/Merchandise: All artwork needs to be representative of the images and descriptions provided by the artist. All artwork must be original in concept, design, exection and of the artists' own creation.
Entry Images: Submit digital images in jpg or jpeg format less than 4MB labeled as LastName-ArtworkTitle.jpg.
Entry Fee: Non-refundable fee of $20 entitles each artist to submit 6 works.
Notification of Acceptance: Artists will be notified by email on Friday, October 25.
Booth Spaces: Fifteen (15) 7 ft. x 5 ft. floor spaces with 7ft x 7 ft. of wall space each are available.
Booth Fees: A fee of $80 for Art House members and a fee of $100 for non-members is required to hold a space after notification of acceptance. Fees must be received by Friday, November 1, 5:00 EST or the artist forfeits the space.
Booth fees are non-refundable after Friday, November 8. Fees go toward marketing including staff, production and advertising costs.

Thursday, December 5, 12 pm – 5 pm
Friday, December 6, 10 am – 12 pm
Take-down Date / Time: Saturday, December 7, 4 pm - 6 pm
If you are not able to retrieve your unsold work during this time, a representative may be allowed to pick up your work - please contact the Art House in advance. Unfortunately, due to limited storage space, any work that is not picked up by the Saturday, December 14 may be considered “abandoned” and a donation to the Art House unless alternative pick up date/time is scheduled prior to the deadline.
Set-Up and Display Requirements:
Each artist will be provided 7" x 5" floor space with a 7" x 7" wall.
Space locations will be pre-assigned based on the order of when the full booth fee payment is received. A map will be provided at this time. Nine spaces in the upper gallery and six in the lower gallery. You may request a lower or upper gallery booth location.
Artists must provide a 6ft table with a BLACK table covering, artwork, merchandise, furniture and materials used for display.
A limited number of tables are available at the Art House. Please indicate with payment the desire to use an Art House table. The tables will be available based on the order of when the full booth fee is received.
Artists are responsible for setting up their own display. Displays should be appealing, professional, in good condition and sturdy.
Artists are allowed to use the gallery walls for hanging artwork. Please only use poster putty, pushpins, picture hooks and small finish nails for hanging. No screws, anchors or large nails.
The Art House has limited electric outlets for use by artists. The Art House will do our best to accommodate special requests. Please indicate if you require electricity. Artists are required to bring the necessary extension cords and surge protectors for their display.
The Northville Art House reserves the right to remove any unsuitably prepared, hazardous, or extremely fragile work for safety and security reasons.
Delivery: All costs, including packing, delivery, and liability for damage, are the artist’s responsibility. The Art House does not have carts for load in and load out, therefore, please bring your own cart for loading and set-up.
Please be aware that while the six lower gallery booth locations are wheelchair accessible through the back entrance, the nine upper gallery booth locations are only accessible by a flight of stairs. Both galleries can be accessed through the front and back entrances. Service dogs are welcome.
Insurance: The Northville Art House may at its option maintain insurance coverage for or on any artwork as it deems appropriate, but it shall have no obligation to do so. The artist is responsible for the proper insurance coverage during the period of transportation and the Holiday Artists Market.
Artwork Sales: Each artist is responsible for all transactions and sales tax.
Please be prepared to handle your own sales with cash, square reader, etc. The Art House will provide Wi-Fi, however, will not provide tech support, therefore be prepared with backup solutions.
The Art House will not charge a commission on any sale.
Gift wrapping: Artists are responsible for providing their own wrapping materials and shopping bags for sold items.
The Northville Art House is working to bring in non-profit organizations to provide gift wrapping, but it shall have no obligation to do so.
Staffing: The Art House staff is not responsible for the booths. Each artist is responsible for staffing their booth or have a representative be present to handle transactions.
Security: While the Art House staff and volunteers will be present and monitoring the building during the market hours, the Holiday Artists Market is not a risk-free event. The Art House does not assume financial responsibility for theft or damage of artwork and merchandise on the premises.
Market Promotion: The Art House will provide press release to local and regional media publications and contacts; printed materials including 2,000 postcards distributed throughout Metro Detroit, weekly announcements on Website, Facebook (2100+ followers), Instagram (500+ followers) and E-Newsletter (5000+ subscribers); advertisement in 300+ art class and educational program brochures distributed throughout Northville; promotion on exterior banner, and a Meet-the-Artists Reception.
Terms and Conditions: Submissions to the exhibition shall constitute an agreement to comply with terms and conditions set forth in this application and in the Art Exhibition and Sales Agreement.
