Thank you for your interest in serving as a member of the Panola College Foundation Board. Serving on the Panola College Foundation Board is a unique and rewarding privilege! Board members are committed to Panola College as an important institution in our community and embrace an overall goal of promoting a standard of excellence in the delivery of resources to the College and its students.
Positions on the board are limited and in high demand. Filling out the waitlist form does not guarantee you a place on the board, but it will give the nominating committee all of the necessary information to consider you for a position when one becomes available.
Board Member Responsibilities
- Serve a minimum of one (1) three-year term on the board. Eligible to serve two (2) three-year terms if re-elected.
- Attend four (4) scheduled board meetings. Meetings are typically held in September, November, February, and April on Wednesday at 12 pm on the Carthage campus unless otherwise specified.
- Serve on at least one committee. Committee meetings are held as needed.
- Board members are expected to volunteer or attend fundraising events for the Foundation. As well as, invite friends and colleagues as guests.
- Participate in the advancement of the Foundation including fundraising and member recruitment (more details provided during the onboarding process).
