We are now accepting presentation and poster proposals for the 2020 Westberg Symposium at the Caring for the Human Spirit ConferenceR: "Advancing Spiritual Care Across Faith, Culture and Geography." Faith community nurses, clergy, chaplains, health advocates and others involved in wholistic health ministry and spiritual care are encouraged to submit a proposal.
Outcome and Objectives:
The purpose of the symposium is to create a community of knowledge sharing that explores and promotes the ever-expanding specialty practice of faith community nursing, focusing on the spiritual care related to faith, culture and geography that participants intend to incorporate into current practice.
Presentations should CLEARLY RELATE TO one of the following:
1. Describe spiritual care from the perspective of various faith traditions
2. Evaluate best-practice aspects of spiritual care from a multi-cultural perspective
3. Compare the concept of spiritual care from a geographical viewpoint; rural/urban, state/national, USA/world-wide
A workshop is a 90-minute presentation. Sixty (60) minutes should be an interactive presentation with 30 minutes allocated for formal and informal discussion. All presenters must register for the symposium.
