In any given year, CPI selects upto three Citizens State Bank Honor Awards recognizing exceptional preservation projects that adhere to the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards. Projects may be excellent examples of preservation, rehabilitation and/or stewardship.
Eligible Projects include:
•Stabilization & restoration of historic buildings, structures, objects, or sites
•Protection of archaeological sites, cultural landscapes, or working heritage landscapes
•Emergency stabilization following fire, flood, or other disaster
•Conservation of historic interior features, finishes, and materials •Rehabilitation of commercial, residential, civic, industrial, or agricultural buildings for continued or new use
•Adaptive reuse projects that introduce a new program compatible with a building’s historic character
•Restoration projects that return a building to a specific historic period
