    Abstract Submission Deadline: August 9, 2019

     

    Thank you for your interest in submitting an abstract for the 2019 SCPHA Annual Conference. Please take the time to review the following before completing the Abstract Submission Form.

    Abstract Submission Options:
     
    Oral Presentation (Individual Speaker): A single-presenter, the presentation should be approximately 15-25 minutes in length as SCPHA will combine similar themed presentations into combined concurrent session. Clarification of length of time and # of presenters will be provided upon acceptance of an abstract.


    Oral Presentation (Full Panel): Multi-presenter oral presentation on a singular or related topic.  This presentation should be approximately 45 minutes in length and include 2-4 speakers (minimum of 2 is required, we recommend no more than 4).  Clarification of length of time will be provided upon acceptance of an abstract.


    Poster Presentation: Poster sessions allow attendees to view research/project findings and interact with poster session author(s). Posters will be displayed throughout the conference with a designated time for authors to be present.
     
    Criteria for Abstracts


    Abstracts selected will rank high in each of the following categories:

    ·      Relationship to conference theme: Does the abstract relate to the theme?

    ·      Objectives: Are the learning objectives clearly stated, measurable, and observable (must be SMART Objectives)?

    ·      Usefulness/Innovative: Does the abstract represent usefulness and innovation to the field of health education/

    ·      Clarity of content: Is the abstract well‐written? Does it clearly outline what the presentation will be? Is it presented in an organized and structured manner?
