Mindfulness For Faculty/Staff
Location/hosting: Monday's at 12:00 p.m. via Microsoft Teams
The facilitator will send a link to the Teams meeting on the scheduled day.
Feel like your brain has too many tabs open? Mindfulness can help quiet the chatter.
Mindfulness is the basic ability to be fully present, aware of where we are and what we are doing. It allows us to not be overly reactive or overwhelmed by what is going on around us.
It allows us to focus awareness on a present moment, calmly acknowledging and accepting our feelings, thoughts and bodily sensations.
Student Health Services is offering a series on Mindfulness for faculty and staff. You can choose to attend one session or multiples within the series.
The deadline to sign up for a session is the Friday prior to the session.
We will start a wait list once 15 spots, per session, are filled.
Please be mindful of your schedule. If you are signed up for a session and find yourself unable to attend, please email siuba@mailbox.sc.edu to allow someone else to participate.
