Volunteer Application and Release of Liability Waiver

Note:

We are located in Smithfield Va 23430.

We will disclose the location address after the volunteer application is completed, this way we can keep track that each person who registers to become a volunteer before arriving and to help prevent non-volunteers from just randomly popping in at the location.

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the farm animals AND your interest in lending a helpful hand for our community. Yay!

Once you submit the completed application, your form(s) will be processed and you will be contacted by the Volunteer Coordinator.  Please note that a phone or in-person interview with one or more of our staff members may be required.

NOTE: the minimum age for Volunteer applicant is 13.  We cannot make any exceptions.  All applicants under the age of 18 years, must have parental consent.  All persons applying to serve as a volunteer at The Barnyard Foundation must fully complete and submit the Volunteer Application.  No partial applications will be accepted.

Thank you for applying volunteer for The Barnyard Foundation. We have several areas that you can serve as a volunteer.  They are equally exciting and play a great role in helping farm animals, children, families, and the community directly and indirectly. 

 

Volunteer areas include:
We have several volunteer opportunities available.

#1) We are hand selecting up to 8 volunteers to help care for animals and facility at the sanctuary. Address is disclosed once application is recieved, as we dont allow pop-ins without appointment.

      Requirements:  Must be able to help clean up after the animals and have some knowledge of animals inorder to help care for them through brushing, washing, help with treatments, etc.

#2) We provide off-Location (traveling) animal assisted activities and therapy. We will need help going mobile to special events, facilities and more with the animals. (ex. Schools, Churches, Senior Care Centers, Educational purposes, Therapy purposes, etc)

#3) We can always use help marketing, advertising, website updating, social media, office work, SEO, Grants, Fundraising, etc.. Is there a special skill that you could provide in this area?
