UPDATE September 2024: We are receiving a high volume of rehoming requests. We will be triaging each request to best help those who need it the most first, so it may take 5-7 business days for us to respond due to volume.

Please make every effort to do all that it takes to find your new pet a home on your own using the resources on our website. Have a plan in place for your pets if this is a last-minute request. Rehoming often takes weeks, and if you only have a matter of days, make a plan for your pet. Do not abandon them; this is a crime.

FieldHaven does not intake owner surrenders but we can help with rehoming, or short-term fostering. To qualify, your cat must be spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccines and preferably, microchipped.

Our goal is to keep cats with their families and to prevent them from going to a shelter. We are very creative in finding solutions!

We stress that we are here to assist you in rehoming your cat so it is important for you to promote your cat on adoption sites, social media, and other avenues. We can provide you with lots of resources, support, and tools.

FieldHaven partners with organizations that operate on the same principles that we do. We often share resources, including opportunities for cats being transferred amongst facilities. Often our partners are looking for cats that are eligible for their adoption programs. We very carefully match cats with each organization's customer/adopter base.
