If you have a half day/no school/homeschool/virtual hours, please inquire about daytime lessons!

TUITION:

Prices are as follows: $27.50/half hour, $41.25/45 minutes, $55.00/hour. Tuition to be paid by trimester as follows: Pay for 9 weeks and get the 10th week free.**

I have not raised lesson prices in over 7 years, but I felt it necessary this year given the rising costs of everything. The discounted 10 week price breaks down to $24.75 for a 30 minute lesson and is still well below the going lesson rate.

(Tuition is due by the 1st day of each trimester in order to receive discounted rate.)

**A registration fee of (3) weeks tuition ensures your enrollement and covers the last 3 weeks of the piano lesson year.**

REGISTRATION FEES FOR School Year 2022-23 are due by August 21. Tuition for Trimester 1 must be paid for all students in family on or before 1st day of each trimester.

Registration Fee: $82.50 (Half Hour), $123.75 (45 Minutes), $165.00 (Hour)

PIANO YEAR: - 33 WEEKS paid in 10 week Tuition:

Typically a Piano year is 33 weeks. Due to Covid, things may change and no firm trimester dates have been set in stone.

30 Minute Students: $247.50, if paid after 1st week $275.00.

45 Minute Students: $371.25, if paid after 1st week $412.50

60 Minute Students: $495.00, if paid after 1st week $550.00

PIANO GUILD - May 2023 at Evola, I am considering skipping Guild this year to facilitate more advancement of study and not single piece work but have not yet decided.

YEAR END RECITAL AND AWARDS BANQUET - TBD typically 2nd week in June

NECESSITIES FOR PIANO:

-Piano or Weighted Key Digital Piano.

-Lesson Books and Materials (Scales, Exercises, Technique, Lesson, Performance, Classical, Theory) and a Notebook or Agenda Book for Lesson Assignments

-Minimum of 30 minutes of practice/theory per day/5x per week

-Good attitude, willingness to learn, respect for the instrument, teacher, fellow piano peers.

Important Waiting Room Info 2022:

The waiting room is closed until further notice. Due to work obligations, it has become necessary to convert our waiting room into an office for my husband. At this time it is asked that parents/siblings kindly wait in car, or walk student to the door, or only ONE parent (no siblings) in the foyer area during a lesson if necessary. This decision was made taking numerous factors into consideration: Reducing Covid/illness spread, my husband's work obligations, not having unsupervised children in our home due to insurance liability, and eliminating distraction so all time can be focused on the lesson. Please arrive no earlier than 5 min before your scheduled lesson time and walk right in, please do not ring door bell as students are in lessons.

1. ATTENDANCE: Students are required to make their best effort to attend their scheduled time. Any students who do not call 24 hours in advance to cancel will not have option for alternate time except due to illness or extreme circumstance.

2. TERMINATION: No Refunds of Registration Fees or Tuition Fees once they have been paid. Should you wish to terminate classes, you are not responsible for any subsequent trimester tuition fees. (i.e. If you choose to cancel during trimester 1, you are not held responsible for trimesters 2 or 3, but will not receive a refund for the current trimester or registration fee.)

3. ABSENCES: It is understandable that students may sometimes have a schedule conflict. Learning to play the piano takes consistent attendance of lessons and daily practice. The following is offered to you should you be unable to attend your regularly scheduled lesson time: a. You may chose an alternate time for the week of anticipated absence or missed lesson if a spot is available if advance notice is given. b. Your lesson may count as your free lesson (one per trimester.) **No makeup lessons are held over into next week or trimester**

4. ABSENCE POLICY: There are NO MAKEUP LESSONS EXCEPT ALTERNATE TIMES FOR THE WEEK OF ABSENCE (IF AVAILABLE) If you fail to call and notify/do not show up for your lesson time, students are not eligible for an alternate time. It is the responsibility of the student to check the online availability calendar for the week to schedule their alternate time (if available.) If you know you are going to be absent, please notify me the week before and I will send you the link to choose an alternate time. I have built in 3 free lessons for the year to be used as sick days/vacations/etc. By notifying me in advance, I am able to have a handful of openings for other students who may have scheduling conflicts as well. Lessons may be booked via Bobclass Scheduling App. A confirmation text will be sent weekly with your lesson day/time as well as a link to make changes to your schedule for the week. Lessons can only be booked in the app for SAME WEEK lessons.

5. TEACHER ABSENCE:

If I have to cancel a lesson, I will either offer you a credit or alternate lesson time.

6. SCHOOL CLOSINGS/INCLEMENT WEATHER:

Lessons will be offered by FaceTime in the event of inclement weather. If Public Schools are closed I will notify you if in-studio lessons are cancelled. If severe weather occurs, lesson may or may not be made up depending on scheduling availability for that week. Cancellation due to severe weather may count as free lesson pass.

7. COVID CLAUSE/ILLNESS:

If students show signs of fever, bad cough/cold/runny nose, vomiting, etc. please do not come for lesson. Students showing signs of illness will not be allowed in studio. If they are feeling well enough, a FaceTime lesson will be offered if enough notice is given. Please practice proper handwashing and sanitizing prior to entering studio room. Any student or family member who has knowingly been exposed to COVID in their home is asked to stay home pending negative test result.

COVID: If Stay Home order is issued, no refunds will be given. Credits will be issued towards future lessons or students will have option to continue virtually.

*Masks may or may not be required depending on Phase for State of Michigan Guidelines. Socks are required in studio and shoes must be removed.

8. RECITALS: It is very highly recommended that all students participate in 2 recitals per year. Our studio year is designed to prepare for and works towards performances. This promotes good study and practice habits. Please plan your schedules accordingly as a lot of preparation and effort goes into preparing students for and facilitating recitals.
