You should only be filling out this form if you are not returning to housing & residence life.
If you are not planning to return to Saint Martin’s University or the residence halls for the approaching semester, please check the appropriate boxes and write a brief explanation. Please submit this form on or before the last day of classes for the current semester. Failure to complete this form may result in a continuation of housing charges and/or forfeiture of your damage deposit.
All students leaving university housing must clean and vacate their rooms within 24 hours of their last final and make arrangements to check out properly with their RA. Graduating seniors are required to check out no later than noon on the Sunday following closing.
If leaving the university or approved for an exemption, mail service and meal plans will be terminated with this cancellation. Deposit refunds are available to those who fulfill the terms and conditions of residence. If you qualify for a refund of your damage deposit, you must submit your not returning form by the date of your check-out and Housing will notify Student Financial Services of your damage deposit eligibility.
Note: If you do not meet Junior Status (21 years or older, 60+ SMU credits, or lived on-campus 4 or more semesters), we will need you to complete a housing exemption form that may include you to provide needed information from a parent/guardian regarding address verification.
