Welcome! We are so pleased that you have decided to further your music skills and knowledge by enrolling with the Lawson School of Music. Below is an outline of the guidelines and expectations for each student enrolled. These guidelines have been put in to place to ensure that both the student and The Lawson School of Music are getting the most out of lesson and class time. Read carefully and let us know if you have any questions. Please keep in mind, that this form must be completed. Every student (returning and new students) MUST COMPLETE THIS FORM. Once this form and registration fee are received, you will be contacted to confirm your class day and time. Private Lessons- (Voice, Piano, Songwriting, Guitar, Ukulele, Drama-Age 6-Adult) These lessons are 30, 45 or 60 minutes one on one with the instructor. Topics conveyed include technique, repertoire, and music theory.

Weekly 30 min= $105-$115/month (depending on instructor)

Weekly 45 min lesson= $165-$175/month (depending on instructor)

Weekly 60 min = $210-$230/month (depending on instructor)

Twice a month 30 min lesson= $65-$75/month (depending on instructor)

Single Half Hour Drop in= $35

Please note: Advanced Private Voice and Piano Students will have a monthly group audition prep/performance class that must be attended (included in tuition).

Group Piano, Voice, or Ukulele Class- (Ages 6-adult; $80-$85/month- 45 min class) In these classes, students will learn technique, theory, and repertoire as it pertains to the instrument they are studying. Students work as a group/team learning from each other and the teacher and also receive one on one instruction/feedback.

Musical Theatre- (Ages 7-18; $300/semester- 90 min class)This class will focus on the study and performance of Musical Theatre. This will include lessons in acting for singers, repertoire, character study, dance/movement on stage, and scene/show performances. This class is a semester long commitment and has a required performance element. Tuition is $300 for the semester not $300 month to month. In the Spring Term, musical theater students will also hold a fundraiser for the large scale musical where each student raises funds to help with current and future productions.

Kindermusik- (Ages Newborn-5.5 years; $75/month- 45 min class; $85/month- 50-60 min class) In this class, young students who love music, dancing, and bonding with others and their caregivers will learn the foundations of music as well as develop reading, math, social, physical, and other early childhood development skills. This is an internationally recognized program that helps develop the brain of babies and young children all while providing a great opportunity to connect with their caregiver and prepare for entering school and/or music lessons. Adult and child attend the class.

Bucket Drumming Class- (Ages 8-18; $80/month- 45 min class) A great way to get in to percussion/drumming while learning musical notation and having fun! Bucket drumming is a great way to build team and music skills as well as relieve stress.

Rockband Class- (Ages 8-18; $85/month-60 minute class) Have you ever wanted to form your very own Rockband? Now you can! Join our Rockband class to create the band of your dreams and learn to rock out some of your favorite songs! There is a performance element to this class which could be in person or creating your own music videos!

Group Acting Class- (Ages 8-18; $85/month-60 min class) This class is great for students wanting to develop their acting skills. The class will focus on learning various acting techniques as well as scene work with others and individual work on monologues and character development. There is a performance element to this class.

Absences/Makeups: I understand that for private lessons, I am allowed up to 1 in person makeup/reschedule that must be used in that semester. After that, absences with proper notice will be sent to students via email with instructions on what/how to practice. If the studio is closed for a holiday or a teacher needs to miss, those lessons will be rescheduled for in person. I understand that for Kindermusik, there will be two playdates offered per semester that I can attend if I miss class or I can attend a different Kindermusik class on a different day.
