Project Grants
For the 2025-2026 school year, the Whiteside County Farm Bureau Foundation is offering six grants of up to $250 to pre-school through high school teachers in Whiteside County, in a public or private school system, to fund projects promoting agricultural literacy.
- Priority given to applicants purchasing resources lasting more than one school year.
- Priority given to first-time applicants that meet all grant requirements.
- Projects may be, but are not limited to, agricultural teaching units, classroom presentations, field trips and career fairs.
- Projects should focus on integrating agriculture into a variety of curriculum areas.
- This grant will not fund consumable items such as landscaping, plants, incubators, and one-time use consumables.
- The grant application deadline is April 17, 2026.
- Projects must be completed by May 15, 2026.
- A final project report is due by May 29, 2026.
The report should be no longer than one paragraph detailing your project outcome(s). We also request at least one photo be submitted. Report and photo can be sent to: foundation.wcfb@gmail.com.
Items considered when evaluating applications:
- Quality and uniqueness of the agricultural lesson, activity or project.
- Integration of agriculture into a variety of curriculum areas.
- Quality and completeness of application
Application are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. Grants will be funded until allocated funds are exhausted.
