2019-2020 Application
The Placement Exchange (TPE) Interns represent the most engaged schools across the country. As TPE Interns, graduate students from institutions are provided a first-hand experience working with the planning committee to execute the spring TPE Onsite event.
TPE interns will be selected from the current cohort of TPE Ambassadors. Selected interns receive lodging during the Spring TPE event, along with funding to cover travel and meal costs. *NOTE: Only non-graduating TPE Ambassadors are eligible to serve as TPE interns in the spring. Ambassadors who plan on attending TPE as a candidate are not eligible to apply. The intern application will open later this semester.
Requirements:
- Be a current TPE Ambassador (Please note that if you are graduating and/or are planning on attending TPE, you are not eligible to apply).
- Be available to attend the on-site event in Austin, TX in its entirety, from Wednesday, March 25th to Saturday, March 28th
- Be available to participate in weekly/biweekly TPE Planning Committee conference calls beginning in January 2020
Your application should consist of the following:
- A recent copy of your resume
- Answers to the following prompts below in ANY format (i.e. PowerPoint presentation, essay, video, spoken word, newsletter, etc.):
- Who are you?
- How have you engaged your campus/peers as an Ambassador thus far? How has the Ambassador program shaped your experience as a graduate student in Student Affairs/Higher Education thus far?
- Where does the internship position fit into your current academic program and future career goals?
- What skills and experiences are you hoping to gain from being a TPE Intern?
- If selected to be a TPE Intern, what do you plan to contribute to The Placement Exchange on-site experience and as a member of the planning committee?
