The following requires special consideration before permanent makeup procedures can take place.
PREGNANT or NURSING: You are not a candidate. Permanent makeup procedures cannot be done until you are no longer pregnant and finished nursing.
UNDER 18 YEARS OF AGE: Special circumstances, with parental consent may qualify.
ON ACCUTANE: Depending on the stage your skin is at, it may be too fragile to undergo a procedure. You should get clearance from your doctor. Typically you will need to be off of the medication for 1 year prior.
TAKING VITAMIN A, E, OR FISH OIL: These can affect the healed result of your permanent make-up. Please discontinue use for two weeks prior to procedure.
ON ANTICOAGULANTS: All blood thinning medications must be discontinued prior to procedure. Do NOT do this without consultation and supervision from your physician. A physician note of clearance is necessary prior.
HAVE AN AUTOIMMUNE DISEASE: You should obtain clearance from your doctor before considering permanent makeup.
DIABETIC: If you are insulin dependent, you are not a candidate for permanent makeup. Healing could be compromised and take longer than average. Otherwise, if your doctor feels your condition is under control you may request a letter stating that you are able to undergo cosmetic tattooing.
HAVE ANY OTHER HEART CONDITIONS... uncontrolled high blood pressure and poor general health would be of special concern, you will need to see your Physician and discuss the procedure to gain pre-approval.
HERPES SIMPLEX... People who get fever blisters and/or cold sores need to be advised that if you have an active outbreak at the time of your permanent makeup session, you will be required to reschedule. Your brow session will need to be completed when you are fever blisted or cold sore free.
KELOID OR HYPERTROPHIC SCARRING... Persons with tendencies for this type of scarring have the same risk with tattooing also. You are not a candidate.
Any person that requires prophylactic antibiotics before dental or other procedures will need to consult their physician for treatment prior to permanent cosmetics.
YOU KNOW THE STATE OF YOUR HEALTH BETTER THAN ANYONE... If you have ANY medical issues that you feel MIGHT be would be a contraindication, then I suggested you get clearance from your doctor.
