CBTS Inactive Status Request

Students may request to be placed in "Inactive" status, meaning they will not be actively taking any classes for a semester or more. Students may remain in this status for up to 4 semesters, and may return to active status during that period by simply paying the semester fee and requesting to return to active status. After 4 semesters in inactive status, students will be moved to "Dropped" status and will need to complete the application process again in order to become active students again.

Inactive Status Fee

We are enacting a new policy regarding Inactive Status requests. Beginning Jan.3, 2023 students requesting to change to Inactive Status will need to pay a $25 fee.

Students who have not returned to Active Status after 24 months of being Inactive will lose their progress in any incomplete courses and will need to go through the application process again in order to enroll with CBTS once more.
