Financial Policy
No DTS or Ignitesix:8 staff member receives any income from Ignitesix:8.
Staff members are responsible for their own expenses, including accommodation, food, and travel costs.
If you plan to staff a DTS Please allow some extra money for the following things:
• Medical and Travel Insurance (compulsory)
• Leisure activities throughout the school and the outreach
• Flights to and from outreach
• Travel from home to the location of the school and back again
You may also be eligible for a discount in special circumstances. Please contact info@ignitesix8.nz if you think this may apply to you.
Ignitesix:8 agrees with the 18 Foundational Values of YWAM. Value 16 is to:
RELY ON RELATIONSHIP-BASED SUPPORT
”YWAM is called to a relationship-based support system, depending upon God and His people for financial provision, both corporately and individually. We believe that relationship-based support promotes responsibility, accountability, communication, and mutual prayer. It involves the donor as a partner in ministry. As God and others have been generous toward us, so we desire to be generous. YWAMers give themselves, their time and talents to God through the mission with no expectation of remuneration.”
Therefore, Ignitesix:8 is a volunteer organisation with no salary or allowance being paid from within the organisation to any member. Volunteers are asked to cover their own transport to and from the area of service and be responsible for their own personal expenses.
We will make every effort to advise you how to adhere to this foundational value and you will be encouraged by the regular testimonies from your colleagues.
