Greetings! We are so glad you have decided to apply. To start off, here is some more information on who we are, and what we intend to do:
Human Nature Projects is connecting people for the planet, because together we can make a world of difference. We are reimagining conservation, creating a community vision for mutual respect and prosperity amongst all our Earth’s many lifeforms. We come from all walks of life, from every continent, speaking many different languages- yet we are joined by Earth’s universal tongue: the appreciation of mother nature, and an undying passion to protect it.
What We Do
Human Nature is a network of nature-lovers, a bid made in what is clearly a time of great need to reverse the established principles used by all the major conservation organizations and rewrite the story on our terms. Nature should be a universal language accessible to all people regardless of race, background or socio-economic status, and yet in this modern world of apartment blocks and iPhones, it is rapidly being driven out of sight and mind. At Human Nature, we are working to reverse this trend: communicating innovatively and effectively the true place that our kind should hold in this world, erasing the tragedy of the commons and bringing nature into the collective consciousness as a positive force to be shared by all.
Projects Across Canada
Canada is a massive country with a disproportionately small population, meaning that much of the nation is wilderness — home to intricate ecosystems, towering forests, glittering lakes teeming with sea life, as well as frigid tundra.
Possibly the biggest environmental issue Canada is facing lies in the oilsands industry. As new pipelines are being built into Alberta, leakage, oil spills, and destroyed habitats plague the nation. HNP Canada intends to raise awareness and urge the government to seek environmentally-friendly solutions
As with many developed countries, the big cities and metropolitan areas of Canada emit a lot of carbon emissions. This contribution of greenhouse gases has lead to temperatures steadily rising, melting the frigid North Canada proudly defends. Through Human Nature, we can address this problem and alleviate it by promoting sustainable living and spreading awareness for this growing concern
There is much work to be done, and much change to bring, but Human Nature truly believes that with the help of many, that with the passionate love of nature we share, we can truly bring about a better Earth.
