Angayuqaq Oscar Kawagley lived an amazing lifeā¦ bridging ways-of-knowing and expanding our understanding of how Indigenous worldviews and Western can mesh in ways that benefit each, rather than diminishing one over the other.
In honor of this incredibly important work, Alaska Native Knowledge Network is pleased each year to present the Angayuqaq Oscar Kawagley Award to an individual that exemplifies the example Oscar set in working across cultures to support community well-being and healing.
