Volunteer/Registered Adult
Our troop requires any adults that will be staying overnight with the troop at activities to become Registered adults and pay the $43.19 associated fee to Trail Life USA. This pays for a background check to be run, as well as for online training for the safety protocols for Trail Life USA. This requirement is in place to protect both the adults and the Youth.
Behind the scenes roles are anything you can think of that you enjoy doing that helps the Troop operate smoothly, but doesn't involve directly teaching the youth at meetings and campouts. This can be social media coordinators, food shopping or prep for events, health and safety coordinators, paperwork checking, advertisement, hit the trail and calendar planning campout planning, etc. This is a great place for moms to plug in!
Direct contact leaders provide structure, teaching, preparing and presenting lessons and generally bonding and providing representation of Godly Manhood to the young men, helping them on their journey from Boy to Man of God. This can be teaching Bible, helping color in the Foxes, teaching how to start fires, or just being there to take over a meeting if another leader gets sick.
