Please be sure you have read ALL guidelines on our adoption policies before completing the adoption application. We are an all-volunteer organization and our adoption coordinator works full time in addition to screening applications. Please be patient while they screen your application. Per our note at the beginning of the application, any forms received between Friday and Sunday cannot have the screening process begun until Monday due to vet offices being closed. There could be delays in processing if important information is left off OR if your personal references don't return calls/texts and if vet offices don't answer or return our calls. Completion of this application does not guarantee the adoption of an animal in our care
We are in North Carolina and prefer to adopt only to residents of North Carolina.
Applications submitted between Friday evening and Sunday night will not be processed until Monday at the earliest due to vet offices being closed on the weekend when we need to check vet references.
We are an all-volunteer group. The adoption coordinator will review your application as soon as possible and email you with any questions. Please be sure to notify your references they will be receiving a call/email/text from a Sparkle Cat Rescue representative. Delays occur when we are unable to reach references. We will not email applicants requesting more information if we can't get through to references.
Sparkle Cat Rescue's goal is to place pets in lifelong forever homes. Kittens under 6 months old are best-matched with families whose youngest child is 6 years of age or older.

KITTENS must be adopted to a home with other cats that accept them OR adopted with a sibling or foster friend.

We choose the best fit for our cats and kittens,but do not hold cats and kittens when there are multiple approved applications on a single cat. If you are approved to adopt, after meeting a cat or kitten, we will require the adoption fee to be paid in order to hold the cat or kitten until you are able to take them home. A meet n greet doesn't guarantee the adoption will be finalized - it is to make sure it's the best fit.
