  • The Helping Hands of CCHS support the students, faculty, and administration by volunteering in a broad range of capacities. We are very dependent on the support and generosity of our parents to help make a difference. Please read through each volunteer opportunity description and check mark as many as you would like. Any and all help is greatly appreciated!
  • ACADEMIC CLASSROOM ASSISTANT

    Proctoring classes for teachers is a vital need at CCHS. A proctor takes attendance, monitors the classroom, and oversees assigned work. The need for a proctor can be scheduled in advance, or on occasion, on a last minute basis depending on the needs of the school.
  • FIELD TRIP CHAPERONE

    Contact: Brian Stith


    Accompany staff and students on a field trip. Join the teacher and chaperone a trip off campus. Date and hours will be determined in advance.

  • PARENTS CLUB

    Parents Club hosts a variety of hospitality at many social events at CCHS and provides support for school activities. All parents are welcome to participate in the programs fostering a ministry of welcome.

  • Area Parent Representative. This is the perfect opportunity for sharing the Carmel message with current and prospective parents in your area.
  • Freshman Parent Orientation (night of 8/27) An event to welcome the parents of the freshman class. We need your help at a reception serving light desserts and coffee.
  • Sophomore Parent Info Night (9/22)The administration offers helpful information to parents of the sophomore class in the auditorium.  Volunteers are needed for a reception of light refreshments that follows. Join us to welcome the parents for another great year.
  • NHS, MAT, SC Induction (afternoon of 10/29) Help serve treats in a reception for the inductees along with their parents after the ceremony which takes place at 2:30 pm. 
  • Graduation Reception (evening of 5/27) Help celebrate our graduating seniors and their families by volunteering for the reception which follows the graduation ceremony at CCHS. Scheduled for a Thursday evening, many hands are needed. There are two opportunities to help: a set up crew begins at noon for a few hours, then a second shift of volunteers are needed to serve light refreshments in the evening.
  • Open House (afternoon of 11/1) Parents Club provides an afternoon reception for prospective families as they visit our school. Many hands are needed to host the refreshment area in the lounge.
  • Eighth Grade Parent Orientation Night (3/4) Parents learn about the upcoming registration procedure. Light refreshments are served by volunteers in the lounge.
  • Eighth Grade Registration Night (3/11) Incoming freshman accompanied by their parents sign up for classes. Volunteers are needed to serve sandwiches and desserts during a welcome reception.
  • Sophomore Ring Ceremony (afternoon of 4/19) Students in the sophomore class that have ordered class rings will receive them in a ceremony followed by a short reception. Beginning at 2:30 pm, the reception that follows offers a light treat and drinks served by Parents Club volunteers.
  • Mother/Son Breakfast & Bingo (morning of 5/2) All moms are invited to join their sons at mass followed by a meal and Bingo. If you are not attending, assist with this special day on a Sunday morning. Join us for mass and then help with hospitality at the meal.
  • Underclass Honors Assembly (morning of 5/3) Students receiving academic awards will be invited to join their parents at a reception. Volunteers are needed to serve donuts and juice at this morning event.
  • BOOKSTORE

    Used Book Sale At the end of the school year, used books can be sold to fellow students in the lounge area. Assist with the morning event that will take place in June, 2010.

  • Spiritwear Sales  All Home Football games offer Spiritwear for sale near the concession stand. Assist with the sales of our popular items on a date of your choice.

    Concessions at Sporting Events
    Volunteers sell snacks from the concession stand during sporting events.Show your school spirit and lend a hand! Judy can discuss available times with you.
  • ADVANCEMENT OFFICE

    The Advancement Office is involved with supporting the school by fostering friend raising and fund raising. Volunteers are needed for a variety of projects and events.


    Office Assistance  There is a constant need for computer input, phone calling, and assistance with mailings. Volunteer for a couple of hours, or for a more ongoing commitment.

  • Grandparents Day (9/20) A very popular event, grandparents and students are invited for mass and lunch on a Sunday morning. Many volunteers are needed to help this special day run smoothly.
  • Alumni Homecoming Tent Party (10/23) The tent party includes a BBQ and endzone seats for the Homecoming Football game. Volunteers assist with entrance sales and food distribution, all while watching the game!
  • Annual Gala Dinner Dance (4/17) Scheduled for spring of 2010, this event requires extensive planning in advance. The day of the event is busy with set up, and the evening requires volunteers to assist with the auction, oversee students, and help with logistics of the evening. An important fundraiser for CCHS, your helping hands will guarantee our success.
  • Golf Classic (6/14) An annual event, the Golf Classic proceeds fund athletic programs at CCHS. Whether interested in joining the planning committee, or to help at the event, we welcome all interested volunteers.

  • STREET SCENES

    Thousands of guests visit CCHS during the Street Scenes weekend, scheduled for Feb. 12 and 13, 2010. It takes thousands of man hours to ensure a success, with help needed in many areas. Please indicate your area of interest and a committee member will contact you.

    The CCCA is a unified parent booster group, made of parent volunteers from all four arts disciplines at Carmel Catholic- instrumental, vocal, drama and visual arts.
