  • CAMP Eligibility

  • To be eligible to participate in the CAMP program, a person must be a seasonal or migrant farmworker or a dependent of a seasonal or migrant farmworker, or have qualified in the past and/or are currently qualified for the Farmworker Career Development Program (WIOA Title I Section 167). "Migrant farmworker" means a farmworker whose employment required travel that prevented the farmworker from returning to his or her home within the same day. "Seasonal farmworker" means a person who, within the past 24 months was employed for at least 75 days in farm work, and whose primary employment was in farm work on a temporary or seasonal basis (not constant year-round activity).

    In addition, you must:

    1. Be a high school or GED graduate
    2. Enroll as a full-time student at the University of South Florida 
    3. Enroll as a First-Time-In-College student (not have earned more than 11 college credits since graduating high school)
    4. Be in need of academic supporting services and financial assistance

  • In order to be considered for CAMP, the following additional documents need to be submitted along with this application once admitted to USF.

    The CAMP Recruiter will follow up to submit the following documents:

    CAMP essay (250 words or more) describing your family's farmworker background (types of crops, work activities, work locations), your future career goals, and any other information that you would consider relevant towards your acceptance into CAMP.

    Copies of W-2 forms & Federal Income Tax Returns (form 1040 for 2023 and 2024, parents/guardians and yours-if you worked)
