Renewal Information:
Please note: If your course was approved for the first time in the last licensing period (September 1, 2020 through August 31, 2022), then the renewal application can be used. If your course was approved for the first time before September 1, 2020, and has already been through the renewal process, a new application must be completed to ensure all course information is up-to-date.
Decisions will be made on a first-come, first -serve basis and all final decisions will be granted within 6 to 8 weeks.
This application is only for courses that have been approved previously by the NASW-NJ CE Approval Collaborative. If your course has been approved previously by other approval entities (but not the NASW-NJ CE Approval Collaborative), a new application must be submitted.
The CE Approval Collaborative recommends that you locate the original approval letter you received for your initial approval. Please consult that document accordingly which will help you prepare for the renewal more expeditiously and ensure that all information is up-to-date and accurate.
An application for renewal will be accepted only if there are no substantial changes to the course. A substantial change includes changes to the length of program, presenter(s) or content. When you are renewing a course that has been approved, you are certifying that you have not made any substantial changes to the course which afforded you the original approval and you wish to offer the course again in a different licensing cycle. Reasonable updates to provide new research are acceptable. Otherwise, a new application must be submitted.
