     Rules of the Leadership Team:

A.) Meeting attendance- Meetings are integral to the success of the program. We try very hard to have each meeting with a specific purpose in mind. Rules governing meeting attendance are not meant as punishment but instead as a way of making sure that all leaders are taking part and are fully informed as to what will be occurring on each trip/event. That being said, each leader will be held accountable to these requirements going forward:

A1.) Each leader will be allowed (in a full school year's time) to miss a total of 2 Leadup meetings or any combination of 4 total (Leadup and General) meetings. Any violation of this policy will result in the leader being put on probation any other absence following this will result in Suspension and loss of his leadership role for the upcoming trip. He will be eligible to re-enter the leadership team after that trip following a Leadership Team Vote.

A2.) "General meetings and Lead-up" meetings. General meetings are those team-building meetings that are for the purpose of re-capping trips, hanging out together, and praying together while doing a checkup on where we're all at in life. Lead-up meetings are those meetings meant for logistical purposes in planning the trips. These are incredibly important to being able to effectively and efficiently plan the trips.

B.) Behavior policy- Leaders are meant to set an example for those around them. A student who is a Crossing leader should be an example to the other young men around him as to how to best go through life. We do not expect perfection, however, a leader should be making their best strides to be the greatest versions of themselves possible. These rules are not meant for punishment but instead as a means of accountability for our leaders.

B1) Any leader making any disciplinary trip to the office of his school at any time is expected to report that trip to the committee. Any leader making two trips to the office in a semester will receive an official notice of probation from leadership responsibilities. Three trips to the office will result in an immediate suspension from all leadership duties. Any more than three of these visits in any school semester will result in removal from the Leadership Team. The same rules apply here as to attendance.

B2) If a leader fails to report any disciplinary trip to the office within two days of the visit and it is discovered or reported to the committee without his informing, he will immediately be placed on probation. If a parent or school official reports behavior issues to the committee, the leader will be expected to make a full report to the committee and explain his actions as well as explain a plan of improvement to correct these actions. If it is judged by the team that the leader is not addressing his actions, the leader will be placed on suspension by the majority vote of the Leadership Team. Continued failure to address the behavior issues will result in removal from all leadership responsibilities.

B3)Grades: Leadership team members must pass all classes with no less than a 78%. Failure to do so will result in a leader being placed upon probation. If the leader is unable to correct the failing grades after one semester, he will be placed on suspension.

B4) Probation/Suspenson/Removal: Probation: Any member put on probation will be officially warned to cease or improve the action that resulted in him being placed on the probation list. Suspension: Suspension results in a leader being removed from all leadership responsibilities until the next retreat has been completed. A leader will be eligible to request his responsibilities be reinstituted following the next retreat. The decision as to whether he will or will not be returned to his position will be decided by a majority vote of the Leadership Team. Removal: A member removed from his position will lose all responsibilities/benefits of leadership and will not be allowed to re-apply for leadership positions.

C.) Committee Responsibilities- Each Leader is expected to join at least one committee and fulfill the duties of that committee. The committees are as follows:

C1) Technology Committee- maintain the social networking sites of the program. – Take pictures during events and post to social sites. - Maintain the programs website

C2) Event Planning Committee- Plan and organize program events and itineraries including but not limited to Fall and Spring Retreats, Summer Leadership Reward trips, and Service Opportunities.

C3) Safety Committee- Ensure that each trip or event has proper safety routines and procedures implemented to best protect participants

C4) Activities Committee- Plan out activities at all retreats to ensure participants enjoy themselves. This includes activities such as AirSoft, team competitions and etc.

C5) Worship Committee- Plan all worship and prayer activities during meetings and events as well as team bible studies.
