• Athlete Grant Request

  • USA Archery Arizona is pleased to announce our Athlete Grant Program established in 2019 in an effort to reward, acknowledge and support the archers within the Arizona archery community that have achieved acceptance onto a High Performance International Team. We want to acknowledge and thank the AZ Cup committee, volunteers and participants, as well as the Arizona JOAD progams that have helped make the funding for these grants possible.

  • Eligibility requirements for consideration of the grant are determined based on the following criteria being met.

    • Athlete must have earned a spot and competed on a World Championship team including; World Championships (Recurve, Compound, Para, Indoor & Field), Youth Championships, Olympics, Paralympics, Youth Olympics & World University Games.
    • Must be a current USA Archery member with Arizona listed as state of residency and in good standing.
    • Athlete must apply for the grant prior to the annual deadline of October 15th for consideration*.
    • Applications must include a statement of how the applicant has benefited from and how they have given back to archery in Arizona.
    • Award recipients agree to provide a statement, interview or other write up for publication and use on, but not limited to, the USA Archery AZ website and other social media channels.

    All applications will be considered on a case by case basis.

    *The Board will review earlier needs or hardship cases prior to the October 15th deadline.

    Maximum award allowed - $500 a calendar year per athlete

Submitting an athlete grant application does not create any contractual agreement/relationship between the applicant, his or her  parents/guardians* and USAA-AZ. Neither the applicant nor the applicant’s parents/guardians* shall have legal or equitable recourse against USAA-AZ concerning any grant or grant application.

    Photo Release: Applicant and applicant’s parents/guardians* grant(s) USAA-AZ permission to use the applicant’s likeness in a photograph in any and all of its publications, including website entries, without payment or any other consideration. Applicant along with parents/guardians* understand(s) and agree(s) that these materials will become the property of USAA-AZ and will not be returned. Applicant and applicant’s parents/guardians* grant(s) USAA-AZ the authority to edit, alter, copy, publish or distribute this photo for purpose of publicizing USAA-AZ programs or for any other lawful purpose. In addition, the applicant and parents/guardians* waive(s) the right to inspect or approve the finished product, including written or electronic copy, wherein the likeness may appear.

    Official Recognition and Permission: By electronically signing below and submitting the application, applicant and applicant’s parents/guardians* certify (ies) that any information or documentation submitted in support of this application are accurate and truthful. Application information will become the property of USAA-AZ and will not be returned. Applicant and applicant’s parents/guardians* recognize(s) and certify(ies) that he/she/they has/have read and understand the above Legal Disclaimer and give permission under the conditions stated in the Photo Release.
