Thank you for supporting The In-Sight Photography Project with your equipment donation. In-Sight is able to provide the types of programming we do, in large part, because of the generosity of the community. Equipment donations help us expand our programming, provide students with access to inexpensive equipment, and give them the opportunity to learn about a variety of models and formats.
In-Sight gratefully accepts donations. However, if your donation is an item in disrepair, antiquated beyond the point of usability, or too large to be housed permanently, please contact us (info@insight-photography.org | 802.251.9960) before donating. Certain items cannot be used by our organization but, whenever possible, donations are used directly for programming.
THANK YOU!

Tax-Deduction Information:
In-Sight is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
Your in-kind donation of equipment is tax-deductible as allowed by law. In-Sight will supply you with a letter acknowledging your donation in the language that allows you to take a tax deduction. However, it is your responsibility to determine the fair market value of the donation. Often a tax filer will make an informal estimate of fair market value. But if your donation is estimated at more than $500 in fair market value, you will need an appraisal to back up your tax-deduction and you will need to fill out IRS form 8283. Since it can be challenging to find clear information on this subject, we recommend you speak with your tax preparer. Instructions on IRS form 8283 can be found here [https://www.irs.gov/instructions/i8283/ch01.html] and the form itself is here [https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f8283.pdf]. eBay can also be a great tool for determining a rough estimate of the value of your equipment.
