The Elk Street Park Project
The City of Gloversville, in conjunction with Fulton County Center for Regional Growth and the nationally-recognized organization Project Backboard, is committed to the revitalization of Elk Street Park located on East Fulton Street. The goal is to resurface the basketball court and to redesign the community seating area.
One important component to the revitalization is a community-inspired mural painted on the surface of the court. At the end of the 2019 school year, five fnalists were chosen from designs submitted by Gloversville High School art students.
A sixth mural has been chosen and will honor Shawna Beekman and Anthony "Ice" Croger will be permanently displayed.
Now it's your turn to be part of this amazing project.
