Girl Advisory Board Application

Please read the following before applying:

-Girl Scouts applying must be registered for the Member Year 2026-2027

-Girl Scouts must be entering grades 7-12 for the 2026-2027 School Year

-Meetings for the GSNYPENN Girl Advisory Board will be hybrid. Some will take place utilizing the Zoom platform while others will be at our council offices or camp properties.

- Members will often have tasks to complete outside of normal meeting times and it is their responsibility to complete them on time.

- Members are required to attend 75% of meetings, if members are unable to attend meetings they should notify the group either by email, phone or text. If members are not showing up they will be contacted. If attempts are unsuccessful and there is no communication within 2 weeks, parents will be notified. Continued non-participation may result in removal from the Board.

-Girl Advisors are expected to check their emails frequently, and be responsive to the information sent inthem.

-Members & parents are expected to download the BAND app for updates from the GAB Liason.

- Up to 20 girls may be chosen to participate in the GSNYPENN Girl Advisory Board for a one year term.

- Members are required to attend Orientation on October 24 at Hooverween and the Annual Meeting on May 1st, 2027.

-GAB acceptance emails and letters will be sent in October.
