Attributes of God
In His Word, God has given us a picture of who He is by describing his character, also commonly called his attributes. These attributes can be broken into 2 different categories: communicable (what we can have) and incommunicable (what we cannot have). Here are some examples:
Incommunicable:Infinite, Incomprehensible, Self-existent, Self-sufficient, Eternal, Immutable, Omnipresent, Omniscient, Omnipotent
Communicable: Holy, Loving, Just, Good, Merciful, Gracious, Longsuffering, Wise, Jealous (for His glory), Faithful, Righteous, Truthful
Our goal through this series is for the reader to grow in their knowledge of who God is. Some questions to consider as you are writing: What attribute of himself has God been revealing to you recently? Where do we see this in scripture? How does the knowledge of who God is pertaining to this specific attribute impact your daily life? What has leaning into this part of God’s character taught you about yourself?
In the word
The goal of this series is to simply create a space for the writer to share with our readers what God has been teaching them through His Word. Our desire is to inspire women to dig into God’s Word for themselves. We want them to see that the Bible is powerful. That is it living and active. That it is for them, right here and right now!
There’s something about getting the opportunity to take a peek into the lives of others. That’s a big part of why social media is so popular! It’s fascinating and inspiring to see the way other people live. The goal of this series is to allow the reader to get a glimpse into the life of the writer. Whether it’s motherhood, marriage, your career, meal planning, carpooling, studying, etc. how do you do all of these daily tasks to the glory of God? How do you strive to keep your eyes constantly focused on your Creator as you walk through life each day?
We live in what many are calling a “post Christian” culture. While Christianity was once the majority, it’s not anymore. What does it look like to live as a believer in today’s world? Our goal through this series is to offer a transparent and practical look into how we can live in the tension of following after Jesus while loving those around us that may have different beliefs. This series offers a lot of freedom. Be creative and write what The Lord is placing on your heart in regards to our culture.
