Q3. I require you to design my artwork, how long will proofs take?
We normally take 2-3 working days to produce proofs. Our team of designers work hard to produce creative artwork and so proofs can sometimes take longer than this. If your print is urgent please call the sales team on 07944 701 400 before ordering to get a current lead time on artwork.

Q5. I like your prices but can I have different stock (paper)?
We can print on paper from 80gsm to 400gsm, but for most flyers & leaflets we find our 350gsm or 130gsm stocks are suitable and cost efficient as we print your job with other customers jobs (gang printing). If you specify a different stock your job will be printed specially for you as a bespoke job and will increase in price. Please contact sales on 07944 701 400 or email basethings@yahoo.com.
Q6. I am looking for a flyer but am unsure what size....help?

Q7. Is my leaflet or flyer subject to VAT?
VAT is chargeable if the flyer is used as admission, discount on admission or product/service. An example of this is "Free (Or discounted) Admission With This Flyer". VAT is chargeable if the flyer is designed to be written on for example a form is incorporated into the design. VAT is chargeable if the flyer is to be used as a Postcard. A more detailed description of VAT print rules & regulations is a available from HM Revenue & Customs
Q8. What if the size I want printed is not listed as a product?
f you do not see the size you wish to print as a product, you will have to pick the smallest product that your job fits into. For example, if you would like to print a 105mm x 105mm you will need to pick an A6 148mm x 105mm product. Please make sure that you pick the correct size as an error could delay your job. Q9. A local printer quoted much more. Are these prices correct?
The prices quoted on the website are correct You may have been quoted much more by a local printer because they may not employ the same "ganging and batching" methods that we use.
Q10. What is ganging and batching?
We are able to offer Full Colour CMYK Lithographic printing at a much lower than our competitors by running your job with many others (Batch or gang printing). By using this method, we print all standard flyers/leaflets & business cards on a large sheet, with up to 20 others. This significantly reduces the costs of making plates, and other fixed setup costs typically involved in the printing process. The other reason that we are competitive is that we are not a print broker we own the print presses and all the finishing equipment and complete the job from start to finish under one roof.
Q11. I have shopped around? Your prices are low...How come?

Q13. I am unsure what \"Print Ready Files\" are, please explain?
Most design software can produce PDF, JPG or TIF files which we can print from these are print ready files. If you are still unsure please call sales on 07944 701 400
Q14. What is \'bleed\'?
Bleed is needed to ensure your job looks its best. Images, background colours and other fills, which are intended to print to the trimmed edge of the design, should be extended 3mm beyond the edge to give a 'bleed' without this you will end up with a white border. Example (A6 111 X 154.50) This is for cutting purposes. If you are unsure please contact our sales team on 07944 702 400.
Q15. What is CMYK?
Four Colour Process Printing', which is also known as 'Full Colour Printing', is a widely used printing technique. The system uses four base colours – Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black. By using combinations of these in various tints, it is possible to produce virtually every colour imaginable!

Q17. What if I miss the delivery of my printing?
If you are not able to take delivery of your order, our courier will leave a card to let you know they tried to make the delivery. Please call the number on the card to rearrange
Q18. Is your packaging branded? Does it have to be?
Our packaging is usually branded. However, if you would prefer it not to be then please notify us when you place your order and we will be happy to accommodate your request.

Q20. What payment methods do you accept?
Payment is required before delivery unless you are an account holder. Our online payments are serviced by PayPal for further information please visit www.paypal.co.uk. We accept the following cards: Visa Electron, Mastercard, Maestro, Solo, Switch, American Express
For cheque Payments: Please make cheques payable to Base. Allow 5 working days for funds to clear before receiving delivery.
