Describe the event in up to 300 words. Please provide a general description of the work to be presented and address the form the event will take. If you are submitting a workshop, please state what skills will be shared and your experience leading workshops and/or teaching. If applicable, include the medium the event will showcase and any equipment/space needs.
If you are proposing a completed work or work in progress presentation, your application will not be considered without a work sample. If your work is time-based, please provide a sample of no longer than 5min. THE REVIEW COMMITTEE IS NOT OBLIGATED TO WATCH SAMPLES FOR MORE THAN 5MIN. Link and password to creative work.
If you are submitting a creative work, please submit 2 stills of your work. These images will potentially be used for publicity purposes if your event is selected.
Describe in up to 100 words how the event proposed relates to the theme, Co-Creation and Its Discontents-http://mdocs.skidmore.edu/storytellers/about/theme/ and how it relates to documentary/non-fiction practice.
50-75 word professional bios for presenter/s (if you are proposing a pre-constituted panel/conversation, please include 50-75 word professional bios for all involved).
If your proposal is accepted, there will be a $30 registration fee to cover meals over the course of the weekend. A limited number of scholarships for the registration fee and housing are available. Scholarships will be prioritized organizations and individuals without institutional support for participation in conferences and people committed to staying for the entire weekend. If you are not awarded a scholarship, very low cost housing is available through Skidmore College for Forum weekend. Are you interested in a registration fee/housing scholarship?
