The Robert Russell Cook Memorial Scholarship was established, by his family, in memory of Robby Cook who was a student at New Mexico Tech. This scholarship was established in his memory to recognize students who plan to graduate with a degree in Engineering and whose lives model that of Robert Russell Cook. The eligible recipients must have a joy for life and compassion for other people. One scholarship will be awarded annually to a student who exhibits these traits and demonstrates a promising future in Engineering.
For the 2019-20 academic year, one scholarship for $1000 will be awarded.
CRITERIA:
- Enrollment at NM Tech as a full-time, undergraduate or graduate student
- Must have a demonstrated history of caring for and helping other people
- Incoming freshmen must have cumulative high school GPA of 3.0
- Current NMT students must have a minimum GPA of 2.5
- Preference will be given to those students who graduated from a Rio Rancho High
School.
- Must have a major in Engineering
