Buddy (must be 16 years or older)- Accompany and assist assigned guest throughout the whole evening, providing companionship and any assistance they may need during the event. Because buddies are paired one-on-one with the guest and the nature of this event, this is a super fun, high energy, interactive role. Being a buddy will require you to put on your party pants, yet remain responsible for your guest for the duration of the event. Additionally, all buddies must be in attendance at Oak Mountain Presbyterian by 5 pm on the night of the event. Dress attire is required. (200+ needed)
Prom Food and Beverage Team- Assist our professional catering staff by helping serve our buffet dinner and beverages in the prom. No special attire required.
Greeting and Directional Team- Assist in directional assistance throughout the building. Greet guests as they exit their cars and enter the building. May be stationed outside, so be prepared with a jacket or warm clothing.
Parking Lot Team- Assist in directing and maintaining the flow of traffic throughout the parking lot upon entrance to event and exiting event, helping guests as they exit their vehicles. Be prepared with warm clothing.
Step and Repeat Assistant- Assist photographer at step and repeat and at photobooth station in order to in keep photo lines moving, help pose guests, and get smiles!
Limousine Assistant- Assist guests in getting in an out of limos, and keep limousine lines moving. This job requires warm dress as position will be stationed outside. Volunteer should be able to lift, and offer steady support to guests.
Red Carpet Team- If you want to make each and every Night to Shine guest feel important and loved, this role is for you! At 5:45pm, you will line the red carpet and as guests take their walk, you will shower them with applause and compliments! Please wear warm clothes as majority of the red carpet team will be located outside. There will also be other jobs for you after the red carpet such as the party pass of glow in the dark favors, passing out crowns and tiaras and passing out party bags as guests exit.
Coat Check- Greet guests upon arrival, offer to take coat, tag and store them. Remain near coat room in case any guests need their items early. As guests leave, ask for names and retrieve their coats.
Parent/Caregiver Room- Greet and chat with parents/caregivers who remain on site during event. Monitor the snack and beverage stations and replenish food as needed.
Entertainment Team- You will be assigned to helping with "Celebrity" Photo Ops, Airbrush Tattoos, Balloon Twisters and the ice cream station. These volunteers will be assigned to one of the above areas and will manage lines at that station, and chat with guests while they are in line.
Karaoke Team- This team helps guests select their song to perform, queues next song, encourages guest and may get on stage with guest at guest's request. Fun, high energy, life of party personality is needed for this role!
Medical Staff- In the case of an emergency or needed medical attention, be on duty as medical personnel throughout the event. This job duty will also fill roles as restroom attendants. Only trained professionals, please!
