Through art, mindfulness, games, relaxation exercises, and journaling, teens will identify tools and practices to call on inner resources to navigate daily stress and difficult emotions with kindness and self-compassion.
- This class teaches skills to help teens feel more relaxed, make better decisions, and cope better with whatever comes their way.
- It teaches teens they can build their own inner resources to navigate good times and bad.
- It provides tools so teens can meet their own struggles and difficulties with kindness and compassion.
The course helps teens:
- Calm the Inner Critic (self-kindness vs self-judgment)
- Understand “I am not alone” (Common humanity vs isolation)
- Learn strategies of what to do in moments of struggle (mindfulness vs over-identification)
