  • The Winnipeg Film Group's MFM Marketing Fund (funded by Manitoba Film & Music), is designed to assist filmmakers in the marketing and promotion of their films. The marketing of a film is a very important component of filmmaking, and a well constructed promotional campaign may help in the overall success of the film. Filmmakers with completed films can apply for financial assistance of up to $750 to create distribution/marketing materials.  

    If your film is completed (or very near completion), you are eligible to apply for a grant.

    The MFM Marketing Fund has two deadlines annually, in spring and fall. 

    Please review the program guidelines before commencing the submission process.

    INSTRUCTIONS

    Please ensure you have all the appropriate submission documents and necessary information for your submission prior to beginning to fill out this form. Once you have all the needed documents and information gathered, the process of filling in this submission form should take less than 15 minutes. Please ensure you have sufficient time to complete the form before beginning in case you cannot save and come back.

  • You can submit the following all together as one document / package or as separate documents but your application must contain the following:

    • Marketing Plan - film synopsis & how the FUND will be used. If listing festival fees it is highly advisable to submit a sample list of festivals you are applying to (1000 words max)
    • Biography / Filmography of Filmmaker (submit separate or together)
    • Budget / Quotes for Marketing Plan (total film budget is not required) (if applicable)
    • Signed letter of consent from Director stating they give the Producer permission to apply and that the Director retains full creative control over the project (for Producers submitting only )
    • Artwork for DVDs, ads, website design, etc (up to 3, if applicable)
    • Resume/CV (optional)
    • Please do not upload the same document more than once
