Iowa Phoenix is a member of the Women’s Football Alliance (WFA) based out of Southern California. This league consists of 60+ teams across the US and Canada, women from all types of backgrounds join together to bring a male dominant sport to the forefront. Women of the Iowa Phoenix balance a career, their family life, along involvement in their communities to represent Iowa in ther ealm of women’s tackle football.
The Phoenix will suit up for games from May to July with practices beginning in January. Due to COVID, the 2021 regular season will consist of 6 games, 3 home and 3 away. The Phoenix are looking forward to opportunities to play teams from Wisconsin, Kansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Missouri, South Dakota and Minnesota during the regular season.
