Thank you for your interest in volunteering for Project FeederWatch!
FeederWatch Program Assistants will participate in the national citizen science program by identifying bird species found at the Nature Center. Volunteers must have a passion for birding and the ability to quickly identify birds by markings. An appreciation and enthusiasm for environmental preservation are preferred. Ideal candidates will be independent, self-directed and possess an ability to problem-solve. All birding abilities welcome!
Volunteers in this program must complete an interview and orientation prior before they can register for shifts.
Program participants will complete a 2-hour shift of counting backyard birds found at the bird feeders at the Nature Center from November through April on selected weekends (days do not have to be consecutive) four times.
Please fill out this form to indicate interest and let us know if you can make one of the interview dates.
