Rental Outfits include (new or refurbished): Instrument, bow, case, rosin and cleaning cloth.

Rent and Continuation

I understand that this is a rental agreement, not a purchase agreement, and that rent, fees and tax are non-refundable.

• The Rental's Initial Total is due at the contract start date when the instrument is ready for delivery.
• Rental includes free shipping to the customer. The instrument will be delivered to the address provided, delivery dates vary depending on demand/availability. Demand is highest during the start of the school year.
• Customer understands the contract rolls over automatically to Auto pay charging the Monthly auto charged Total. Customer will continue to pay Monthly Total rent automatically on auto pay with a current credit card until customer has returned or purchased the instrument.
• Payment is due monthly from the date of the transaction each month due there after until returned or the customer purchases the outfit. I, customer, authorize Christian Eggert Violins (CEV) to charge payments as prescribed in the terms of this contract to my credit card account. I, customer, agree to maintain this account open and within credit limits to permit the timely charges of my payments. I, customer, may change credit card account by informing CEV in prior to the due date of any payment.
• When the customers card rates are excessive, CEV reserves the right to ask for a different card and/or charge the customer a convenience fee.
• Billing, dropped off auto pay, requires a $5.00 Monthly Invoice Processing Fee. Accounts that become 5 days delinquent, will be charged a Monthly Late Fee of $10.00. Return Fees are are $30 per incident.

Maintenance

Rental maintenance fees cover routine instrument maintenance performed by our skilled repair persons in our own shop to ensure quick and correct repairs. This includes, but is not limited to, broken strings, warped bridge, open seams, or tonal adjustments.

• It DOES NOT cover any damage caused by abuse, neglect, theft or vandalism by the renter or any other person and it does not cover repair/damage to the varnish due to tape/adhesive on the varnish.
• DO NOT USE TAPE/ADHESIVES ON THE VARNISH – CUSTOMER RESPONSIBLE FOR DAMAGE. 
• Maintenance is not covered by repairs outside of Christian Eggert Violins. It does not cover damage by another repair shop.
• If the Maintenance Plan has lapsed due to non-payment, renter agrees to pay for maintenance and repair costs during the term of the rental and/or at the conclusion of the rental agreement according to the usual and customary charges for the repairs at Christian Eggert Violins.
• Customer is responsible for shipping/delivery to store and any shipping/delivery costs incurred. 

Rental Credit Towards Potential Purchase

Rental Credit toward purchase is 100% of Rent paid up to a maximum of 12 paid months of rent (excludes tax and maintenance).

• Rental credit is applicable only when all term rental fees are current and customer is a current renter.
• Rental Credit may be applied, once for the current rental, towards the purchase any instrument owned by Christian Eggert Violins, Ltd..

Return of the Instrument

If rental is terminated, customer is responsible for shipping and shipping costs of the outfit back to Christian Eggert Violins, Ltd. (CEV).

• The customer must return instruments to CEV in good condition.
• CEV will inspect and charge the customer for damage not covered by the maintenance agreement.
• Past due rental and damage must be paid for in full at the time of the rental return.

CEV reserves the right to use any remedy deemed necessary (including law suit) to take possession of unreturned instruments, and collect past due rental fees, late fees, legal fees, collection costs, and losses due to damage.
