“My School Hero” (“Hero”) nominations are limited to current full-time public, private and charter school K-12 school representatives (principals, teachers, coaches, administrators, custodians, bus drivers, lunch workers, etc.) in the state of Arizona who are, at the time of nomination, Arizona residents and 18 years of age or older.
Twenty (20) Heroes will be selected by a “My School Hero” Selection Committee of all eligible nominations during the nomination period. One (1) of the twenty Heroes will be selected as the “Arizona School Hero, which will be announced at the PlayStation® Fiesta Bowl game on December 28, 2019.”
If selected as a Hero, recipient will receive a $1,000.00 gift code (which College Football Playoff Foundation (“CFPF”) has funded) to create an account and qualifying project for its school on DonorsChoose.org. DonorsChoose will facilitate the procurement by purchasing the resources and delivering them directly to the school. For more information, visit DonorsChoose.org/teachers.
In addition the $1,000.00 gift code, the one (1) Arizona School Hero will receive a trip for two to the CFP National Championship game on January 13, 2020, in New Orleans, LA (includes game tickets and a $1,000.00 travel credit to be used for transportation and hotel accommodations). Recipient of the Arizona School Hero CFP National Championship game will be responsible for all applicable taxes. ARV is approximately $4,000.00.
Hero selections will take place on a weekly basis beginning the week of September 30, 2019. If a Hero leaves the school, the property acquired from the selection will stay with the school. Recipients will be notified by phone and/or email.
One hundred percent (100%) of the funded amount must be used for Hero’s school project, classroom or school. If the funding fails to do so, recipient may be disqualified and the funds forfeited.
If selected as a Hero, recipient fully and unconditionally agrees to and accept the terms and conditions and decisions of CFPF and Arizona Sports Foundation (“Fiesta Bowl”), which are final and binding in all matters related to the nomination and selection thereof.
Except where prohibited by law, participation in the “My School Hero” campaign constitutes recipient’s full consent for the CFPF, Fiesta Bowl, their related entities, agents, sponsors and each of their respective officers, directors, employees unqualified and unconditional use of nominee’s and/or recipient’s name, likeness, photograph, voice, opinions and/or hometown and state for promotional purposes in any media, worldwide, without further payment or consideration. CFPF and Fiesta Bowl reserves the right in their sole discretion to disqualify any individual they finds to be tampering with the nomination and/or selection process or to be acting in violation of the terms and conditions. Any attempt by any person to deliberately undermine the legitimate operation of the nomination process may be a violation of criminal and civil law and, should such an attempt be made, CFPF and Fiesta Bowl reserve the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law.
