CWBSA Member Club Application Form
The Canadian Working Belgian Shepherd Association would like to welcome you to our list of clubs promoting the working Belgian Shepherd in the sport of IGP.
Below you will find the information and paperwork needed to file a complete application to form a member club within CWBSA.
List of the required paperwork with explanation:
- The application itself shows when the application was submitted, when the club (as an CWBSA club) was formed, contact information for a club contact person, and an agreement to abide by the CWBSA bylaws signed by two club officers.
- The membership and officer roster must include only members in good standing of CWBSA. There is a minimum of three individuals required, of which only two can be part of a family membership (e.g., one individual plus two people in a family membership).
- If any of the listed members are not yet members of CWBSA, their membership applications (with appropriate membership fees) should be sent in before completing the application. See http://cwbsa.ca/membership/ for individual application.
- Annual fees of $325 are due upon acceptance of the application by the CWBSA board of directors and can be made through the PayPal or by etransfer (renewal fee is $275).
- A set of Club Constitution and Bylaws must accompany the application. Examples are available on the CWBSA website (http://cwbsa.ca/clubs/form-a-club/).
These by-laws must state that the club is and shall be conducted as a non-profit organization, and must include the statement: "The objectives of this association shall include the preservation of the Belgian Shepherd in accordance with the Breed Standard as a working dog, to promote humane training methods for the working dog, and to support responsible dog ownership and breeding practices".
Please allow 2 to 3 weeks for the CWBSA board to review your application.
