  • RILYA WILSON ACT REPORTING REQUIREMENTS:

    Pursuant to Florida Statute 39.604, a child from birth to the age of school entry, who is under court-ordered protective supervision or in out-of-home care and is enrolled in a School Readiness early education or child care program must attend the program 5 days a week unless the court grants an exception. 

     If a child is absent from the program on a day when he or she is supposed to be present, the person with whom the child resides must report the absence to the child care program by the end of the business day. If the person with whom the child resides fails to timely report the absence, the absence is considered unexcused. The child care program shall report any unexcused absence or seven consecutive excused absences of a child who is enrolled in the program and covered by this act to ChildNet by the end of the business day following the unexcused absence or seventh consecutive excused absence.

     Please report any unexcused absences or seven consecutive excused absences by completing the below form and selecting “SUBMIT” to notify ChildNet and the ELC.

  • Per Rule 6M-4.500(4)(c) Child Attendance and Provider Reimbursements.

    If a child is absent for five (5) consecutive days of the child’s regularly scheduled attendance, during a calendar month, with no contact from the parent, the provider shall submit written notification to the local coalition or its designee who in turn shall determine the need for continued care.

  • Per Rule 6M-4.500(4)(d) Child Attendance and Provider Reimbursements.

    If the child has ten (10) unexplained absences during a total calendar month of attendance, with no contact from the parent, the provider shall submit written notification to the local coalition or its designee who in turn shall determine the need for continued care.
