  • The Elmhurst Airtightness Scheme (EAS) is an authorised Competent Person Scheme created for companies (including sole traders and partnerships) that carry out airtightness testing activities. 

    Membership is also available for Background Ventilation Testers for existing dwellings.

    We are dedicated to ensuring that our Air Testers provide quality and accurate airtightness testing certificates.  Our leading airtightness testing scheme provides reassurance to clients that the work is carried out to a high degree of quality and integrity.  

     

    Fees

    New Applications/Level of of Comptence changes = £95+VAT

    Our Annual Registration Fee, is determined by:

    1. The Air Tester level of competence you are applying for and/or
    2. The number of EAS registered testers in your organisation. 

     

     Annual Registration Fee
     Level 1 Airtightness Tester =  £265 + VAT  + £100 for each additional tester
     Level 2 Airtightness Tester =   £365 + VAT   + £200 for each additional tester 
     Background Ventilation Tester =  £265 + VAT   + £100 for each additional tester 
  • Following receipt of your application you (or the bill payer if you will be working for an employer/another company) will receive a 30-day invoice at the end of the month.

    Payment of invoices by direct debit is free; non direct debit payments are subject to a surcharge of 3% (minimum of £3.00).  We are now able to accept paperless direct debits. 

    If you would like to sign up to direct debit please email:  accounts@elmhurstenergy.co.uk stating your Elmhurst account number.  We will respond with a link to a form you will need to complete with your bank details. You will then receive an email confirming you have successfully set up your direct debit. 

     

    Applicant Declaration 

    By completing and submitting this document I declare that all the information provided is accurate and truthful.  If successful, I promise to abide by the relevant Elmhurst Code of Conduct, be it the Elmhurst Airtightness Scheme Code of Conduct and/or the Background Ventilation Testers Code of Conduct.  Furthermore, I will ensure any Terms, Standards or Codes that are currently defined and may be specified in future, are followed.

    If successful in my application I also agree to visit the Elmhurst Energy website on a regular basis (at least monthly) to ensure that I remain aware of any changes to the Terms, Standards or Codes that apply to the Elmhurst Airtightness Scheme. 

    By submitting this form I acknowledge that Elmhurst Energy Systems Ltd must satisfy themselves of the suitability of myself (the applicant) for registration, and complete checks as necessary, including insolvency and bankruptcy registers for key people within the business; I therefore agree that should my business have a 6-month or less trading history, Elmhurst reserve the right to carry out further checks as may be deemed necessary.
