• Beginners Willow Basketry Registration

  • Thank you for your interest in willow! During this weekend course we will work on creating beautiful round baskets from willow. Learn to construct a beginners basket with a circular base, rounded or sharp angled upsett, a choice of side weaves and a woven border. If we have time you can choose and weave a complimentary handle. For those that have taken a previous class with me, we can either revisit that same basket style or you can explore a different type of basket. Participants will finish the class with a sturdy and useful vessel. Willow can be challenging to work with. Someone with hand issues or weak hands may find this class difficult. Includes an amazing homecooked vegetarian lunch prepared by our hosts, Anne and Tosso.
