    • Currently registered member with Girl Scouts of North East Ohio
    • Gold Award Girl Scout
    • Recommended minimum College cumulative GPA of 3.5 on 4.0 scale
    • Full time undergraduate student with commitment to 4-year degree
    • Application complete and submitted on time

    Attach all essays with your completed application.

    Complete each of the 4 essays using the following format:

    • Separate page for each essay
    • Label each page with your name and essay title as written below
    • Use ARIAL FONT, size 12, Double Space lines
    • 400-500 words for each essay, incllude word count at bottom of page

    Essays that do not meet the above requirements will disqualify your application.

  • (1) Girl Scout Gold Award

    Reflect on the leadership skills learned from earning your Girl Scout Gold Award. Describe how these skills have helped develop your current leadership style. Identify how your Girl Scout leadership prepared you for success and how you will connect to the Girl Scout mission to make the world a better place. Explain how you remain connected to the Girl Scout community.

  • (2) Community Service & Civic Engagement

    Gold Award Girl Scouts are proven leaders. A requirement of this scholarship is continued commitment to service that makes a purposeful impact in the community. Leaders have a desire to contribute to the world in purposeful and meaningful ways, identify issues in the community, and take an active role in plans to solve these issues. Describe how you are engaging with the community during your undergraduate years, whether this is through Girl Scouts or other opportunities of interest. Give specific examples of the impact you are making in the community.

  • (3) Undergraduate Study and Career Goals

    Indicate your Undergraduate Major or Field of Study. Describe why you have chosen this field of study and how you expect to use a career in this field to make a positive impact in your community.

    Describe why you are the best candidate for this scholarship and how this award will make a difference in reaching your goals.

  • Letters of Recommendation (2)

    Two (2) letters of recommendation are required to support this application. These letters should attest to specific contributions you have made through your leadership, as well as specific achievements that support the impact of your leadership. The letters of recommendation must be from non-related adults who have personally witnessed your success.
