  • The Lincoln Heights Neighborhood Council (LHNC) hosted meetings regarding the 5 Lots project where the City of Los Angeles is using commercial parking lots along our business corridor and converting them to provide low income affordable housing.
We are told all the existing parking will be replaced.

The Council voted against the project, but is gathering information from the community to determine if the Stakeholders (those who live or work in Lincoln Heights) have had an opportunity to voice their concerns. Affordable housing is a 2 bedroom unit for people earning approximately $28,200 minimum to $56,400 maximum living in Lincoln Heights.

  • HOUSING USES

Low housing stock and few rental units have led to various strategies to increase housing and rental stocks. Single Family housing allows for just one home per lot and is the primary land use in Lincoln Heights. Mixed Use is commercial and residential combined in one building in the business district on North Broadway.

One strategy to increase housing includes Small-Lot homes, which provide
homeownership on small portions of land, in which homes are built close
together, similar in the way Town Homes are built. Some other are listed below.
